1. What is the name of the holiday?

The holiday that i am doing is called Cinco de Mayo

2. When will the holiday be celebrated in 2011?

Answer: The holiday will be celebrated on may 5 in 2011 it is a holiday that celebrates may 5 every year

3. Who celebrates this holiday? (Countries, religious groups, ethnic groups)

Answer: The holiday is celebrated by Mexicans its not  religious its just the day when Mexicans declared there independence from France and it is also celebrated in the united states because they are showing Mexico's pride and its also celebrated in Mexico Puebla.

4. Why is this holiday celebrated? What is the significance of this holiday?

Answer: The holiday is celebrated as a reminisce of the Mexicans winning there independence from the french.

5. How is this holiday celebrated? Include any rituals, food, costumes, dance or music associated with this holiday.

Answer: Menudo soup, Plantain chips, Sopes, Tacos al pastor, Elados Tatemados, Nopales, Tinga poblana de pollo, Guacamole, Flan and other great meals they also have loads of beer and other alcohol drinks. The costumes that they wear are the Mexican flag colors or you dress as one of the Mexicans greatest historians. They would dance to Mexican songs and make up there own dances while there at it.

Blog Entry #2.6- Design Brief (A)

I think that we are going to need plenty of time to create this greeting card and skills so that it can become untouchable. I also think that the steps needed to take is research and taking art into serious hands so you can know what colors and textures are going to look good depending on what king of greeting card you are doing. I also think that i should put myself in the people who celebrate this holidays shoes.

1. Always start with the design brief with " I am going to design" followed by a general description of what you are designing and creating.
I am going to design and make a post card about the cinco de3 mayo holiday and i have to research it and do a lot of reading on it because i don't know anything about that holiday.

2. What is the goal of the product? What should able to do?
My goal for this product is to know a lot about it and be able to contribute some information or poor some information into the readers.

3.I want to reach the taste of the food, culture, language and the people.

4.I think that the most important part is to have connection with the project you are working on.

5.I don't want to see any fails information in my project.

2. What type of images are used – photos, cartoons or graphics? How do the images used connect to the holiday/event? The image used is a christmas tree in snow lighting up and i think that it connects to the photo because on christmas there is always a tree involved and on it mostly snow on christmas and in the image there is snow in the bakground.

3. In your opinion, is the cover of the card attention-grabbing? Explain exactly why or why not. Consider the arrangement of elements as well as use of images, color and text. I don't think that the front got my attention because its very simple and i don't like simple.But i like the color and text and i felt that it stock out to me.

Blog Entry # 2.2- Product Analysis1 (A)

1.What holiday/event does the card represent?
The holiday that my card represents is Thanksgiving.

2.What type of images are used – photos, cartoons or graphics? How do the images used connect to the holiday/event?
The image shown on my card is the image of a little girl and little boy that are on a sail boat with a turkey conducting the boat while they are at sea.

3.In your opinion, is the cover of the card attention-grabbing? Explain exactly why or why not. Consider the arrangement of elements as well as use of images, color and text.
I think that they card is grabbing my attention because its funny that a turkey is sailing the kids out of  sea and after the turkey saved them they are going to kill it.They used very vibrant and dark colors and the text was as if a little kid wrote it.

The text written was "Thanksgiving is here again". I is located in center of the front.

5.What text is written inside the card? Where is it located inside the card? In the card it's written "Wish you were,too! Hope You Have a Happy Day.

6. In your opinion, does the text inside the card connect to the image(s) on the cover? Explain exactly why or why not.Yes, I think it connects because the girl and boy are not home yet but thanksgiving is and they wish they were home.

7. What types of information appears on the back of the card? (Do not copy it exactly!)., The information thats appears in the back of the card is the company it came from, what kind of paper they used to make the card and also the price code number and the price.

8. To what consumer is this card targeted? (Consider age group, gender, race and/or religion.) What about the design led you to this conclusion? I think that this card is targeted to americans and all ages because you can be missing your kids or some one close to i mean sure your child can be 21 but  you probibly still think of them as your little baby.

Blog Entry #2.1- Design Task (A)

 I think that i have been asked to select # that was in the plastic box i happen to have picked the number 5.Since i landed on the number 5 which on the packet is the holiday of Cinco de Mayo i have to now anwer some questions about that specific holiday. I also was given a post card that was about Thanksgiving i have to answer some questions about that postcard.

The thing that is being made is a robot.The purpose of this robot is to help with everthing that you ask it to help you with,the audience are people.The size requirement is not really settled because it has flexiblity so there is no one size thing it trasforms sizes to fit into things or reach for things or whatever you want it to do. The design elemets required are creativity.It should look silver and like a robot.The matrials needed would be a Breadboard Micro controller Starter kit,Master Module,Robotics kit,Parts and components,and other platform's.

I am going to design something that helps with everything it can grow bigger or smaller that its original size,you can carry it in your pocket so its easy to travel with.It's going to be super smart,fast and will speak 200 different languages.It will be able to do anything that it is told to.Its going to also be strong and flexible.Ages 7+ can us this device.

The areas of interactions highlighted by my teacher shows the importance of what is being underlined and it also pulled my attention towards it. The area of interaction relates to the poster because it is directing and giving you instructions on what to do and what not to do.

The design task that i have been asked to solve is to creat and answer questionis about the differnt ib learner profile posters and Successories posters. I created a new blog and posted blogs that what i did so far.

Blog Entry # 1.3 - Poster Analysis 3 (A)

1.) This poster is showing someone being caring to the other.

2.) I think that the poster communicate's with the tittle the imge is showing.

3.) I think that the color used in this poster is great because it supports my thinking of this poster.

4.) The word on the poster are on the top and bottom and i think that it's been fonted that way because they didn't have enough room to write the other letters.

5.) I think that the font wasnt used in a good way because i dont feel that this poster is important and the font is big they should have made the font smaller to show and prove the unimportance of this poster.

Blog Entry # 1.2- Poster Analysis 2 (A)

1.) The main image used in this poster is to show the communication this student is enjoying this experiment and is really curious about what is going to happen next.

2.) I think that this poster effectively communicate the purpose of this poster because inquire's are people who are curious and do alot of research and scientist do alot of research also they are curious about things.

3.) I really like the color of the font not only because it's my favorite color but because that color mean power and the word is also mean power to me.

4.)  The word on the poster are located on the top and bottom of the page beacuse it's showing that it is important from top to bottom.

5.)  I really don't think that the font of the picture is not so great or good for the kind of poster it is because i think that inquire's are really important people and the font should show that but i really can't feel that way because the font is so small i fell that it could have at least been a little more bigger that what it is.

Blog Entry #1.1 -Poster Analysis 1 (A)

1.)I think that this image is communicates perfectly with the point of this poster because excellence is like gold and they have the picture of a gold clock and excellence is like a clock that's ticking meaning time or life is to short to be wasted.

2.) I think that this poster is a great one because i think that excellence in everything is important and it is showing that by showing a college and that means if you have excellence in your life you will be heading to college.

3.) I think that the color is black and it is a good color because black  to me is a serious color.

4.) The letters are in the bottom and top of the picture and i find that that's very interesting  because i think that they are trying to show that excellence is important form top to bottom.

5.) I think that the font is important because its big and bold so they are trying to show that its very important.
